Meet Daniel Zopoula

Daniel Zopoula is an accomplished author, minister, marriage coach and advocate for others.

Through his many global connections, he has worked to raise funds and initiate charities for those in need in many countries.

While doing charity work, he has continued to spread the christian faith in the community he has worked and is currently Bishop of the Miz City Church in Lethbridge, Alberta.

“The bush has taught me things no classroom could. I am a Graduate of Earth School”

About Daniel Zopoula

Daniel Zopoula was born in Boura, Boulgou, on September 18, 1969. Daniel moved on to Ambrose University in Canada to pursue an M.Div after finishing his basic education at a boarding school in Diebougou. Daniel’s path is steeped in a strong Afro-Canadian heritage that values personhood, gentle acceptance of others, cultural etiquette, and social justice.
Daniel was born and raised in Burkina Faso, West Africa’s “Land of the Upright People.” Daniel emerged with tremendous dignity, decency, and integrity; with love, courage, and humour; choosing social activism over a life of mindless greed and personal subservience, while being severely wounded and perpetually scarred by the horrific events that moulded the reality of his upbringing.
Ironically, his previous “soul-making” experiences of pervasive horror, chronic trauma, and nasty stigma produced his actual drive to powerfully impact, lead, and inspire people to greatness, shamelessly spawning good change, and bearing testimony to love and justice.

Daniel spent his early years in Burkina Faso as a shepherd, farmer, cotton picker, and evangelist. While in Saskatchewan, Daniel helped to establish his charity, Bridges of Hope International Network of Development Agencies Ltd, a humanitarian organisation. Daniel began nomadic work in several regions in Canada and across the world while promoting Bridges of Hope International Network after finishing his theology school at Ambrose University in Canada. In the spring of 2000, he and his wife Sara Zopoula moved to Lethbridge, Alberta, where he pastored at River of Life Community Church and later First Congregational Church until launching Miz City Church Lethbridge on January 28, 2008.

In the summer of 1995, Daniel’s vision established the Bridges of Hope International Network of Development Agencies as a philanthropic venture with a vision to use business to combat poverty around the world while forming a coalition of individuals and organisations to network to the end of poverty relief and community empowerment among the world’s poorest nations. Since then, he’s been involved in philanthropy and research, facilitating a network of over 100 organisations and ministries in over 20 countries. Daniel has written a book about marriage, in addition to his work with the Bridges of Hope International Network. Daniel’s book is The All For Nothing Marriage, Why your marriage will kill you before death do you part. Published by FrisenPress and distributed by The Ingram Book Company.

What is Bridges Of Hope by Daniel Zopoula?

Bridges of Hope is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to enhance the lives of people all over the world by focusing on education, public health, economic development, and structural change in underserved communities.

Networking, according to Daniel’s Bridges of Hope, influences the world and the people who make it. Bridges of Hope’s strength comes from collaborating with communities, organisations, and individuals that are dedicated to achieving genuine, positive results. Building long-term beneficiaries and benefactors requires personal, social, and financial links.
We understand that aid is not the answer to reducing poverty in communities. Relief is only beneficial for developing self-sustaining independent businesses with long-term income streams and job possibilities. For long-term prosperity and improved quality of life, we place a strong emphasis on community development.

We represent underserved communities with governments and other local authorities through partnerships, leadership development, education, training, coordination, and information exchange. To attain our shared aim of improved health, financial independence, and community rights, we rely on and offer aid to charities, foundations, and ministries.

Our Vision of Bridges of Hope

We work to improve the capacity and productivity of indigenous organisations, leadership, and individuals dedicated to poverty alleviation and community empowerment.

Bridges of Hope: Guiding Principles

  • Regardless of race, age, gender, or creed, we support community empowerment.
  • We believe in shared responsibility and give our volunteers the resources and assistance they require to succeed.
  • We collaborate with our partners, planning, implementing strategies, and executing processes together. Our assistance is based on mutual respect. We are bound by the wishes of indigenous communities and respect those we aim to assist.
  • We are guided by Christian ideals of compassion, love, justice, and mercy, and we stand up for individuals who are being persecuted because of their beliefs.
  • We invest in developing leaders, employees, and volunteers who can guide communities toward long-term health and prosperity. We walk them through the process of developing and implementing strategies that will help them reach their objectives.

Daniel Zopoula’s Supported Clean Water Projects

Hand-in Hand Global Walk for Water Registration and Sponsorship

This Hand-in-Hand fundraising event will weave partnerships all over the world, all dedicated to one common goal: to empower women via individual actions made during the Global Walk for Water. Women from all over the world will walk in solidarity with African women in their neighbourhoods or sacred sites of their choosing to raise awareness of the shortage of potable water in many communities across the world. The three African women who make up our Hand-in-Hand with African Women team will also accompany us in their villages.

“At this moment, there is not a single green blade of grass to be seen in our village,” Mama Dinah, one of our Hand-in-Hand with African Women project managers in the Massai Mara in Kenya, tells us. They’re in the midst of a drought, and it’s not the first time. Their animals must be transported to graze 6 days away from their house. Branches from shrubs are now being chopped down to feed the livestock. The women are carrying 20-liter jugs on their backs while they get water. To get to these stagnant water ponds, they must trek between 3 and 5 kilometres.

Your donations will help to fund the digging of a well in the Olookerin settlement of Kenya’s Massai Mara. Imagine water pouring from a borehole and being piped in three directions, affecting up to 3,000 people and their cattle. Thank you for participating as a walker or as a walker’s sponsor! You might also just give to help Massai women overcome the problems they encounter on a daily basis.

We can contribute to the solution! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change lives in Africa!
Visit the hand in hand website for additional information.

Dig Deep Water Project

Dig Deep is an initiative that uses the building of water wells to empower people in poor countries.

More children can attend school when they have reliable and accessible access to clean water, and the number of diseases caused by dirty water is reduced. Dig Deep’s present purpose is to provide water wells to ten local towns.

We wish to make a difference in the lives of people who live in poverty on a daily basis. Would you consider partnering with us by contributing financially to help us accomplish our goal?

Alivio International

Alan and Becca have provided the following information regarding the Alivio International Project:
Alivio is a faith-based organisation that works with indigenous peoples in Mexico’s Guadalajara area.

For many years, we have provided school materials and clothes, held medical clinics, provided health education and girls hygiene kits, transported handicapped children to rehabilitation facilities, and found clean water solutions.

Becca runs a sewing co-op in one of Chapala’s eastern communities, which provides a source of money for the women who join. During regular business hours, the co-op manufactures reusable menstruation pads. The pads are sold to those who can afford them, and the proceeds are donated to local females. BelaFemenina.com has further information on the pads.

The Bela Femenina sewing cooperative is making high-quality reusable face masks in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We’re also working on Emergency Food Relief to offer essential supplies to families affected by the government shutdowns, which have resulted in widespread unemployment. Please consider making a monthly or one-time donation to help us empower the poor in Jalisco.

We strive to communicate the love of God in Christ with everyone we encounter in all we do.

Legacy Water Foundation

The Legacy Water Foundation was established with the sole intention of assisting individuals who have been affected by the global water crisis.

There are hardworking groups all across the world attempting to assist their people. We’re just here to assist these organisations with the water-related issues that they face in their communities. We recognise that local groups frequently have the best answer for their problem, so we help in any manner we can while avoiding interfering with their work.

Our current fundraising goal is to work with Christ Mission to build deep borehole wells and repair existing wells in South Sudan communities. South Sudan is ranked #3 on the Fragile State Index and is in desperate need of assistance. Assist us in providing clean water to the residents of these communities. The Bridges of Hope network manages our donations.

W4L Waterwells Burkina Faso

Villagers must travel up to 25 kilometres twice a day to obtain water.

A group of nurses from Alberta and Saskatchewan travelled to Burkina Faso, West Africa, in January 2017 to offer prenatal health courses to remote areas. During their tour, they discovered that a shortage of basic resources, such as water, was at the foundation of many of the villager’s problems, both health-related and not. Villagers must travel up to 25 kilometres twice a day to obtain water. This work is frequently assigned to youngsters, resulting in many of them being unable to attend school, leaving them uninformed and setting them up for a far more difficult life.

This scenario prompted the team to develop ‘Dig Deep’ alongside Bridges of Hope. Dig Deep is a project that aims to empower individuals in poor countries by constructing and maintaining water wells. The crew is on a mission to aid these children and their families by providing dependable and quick access to clean water in each of the 10 communities they visited, lowering water-borne sickness and allowing them to attend school.

We wish to make a difference in the lives of individuals who live and suffer in poverty on a daily basis, and any assistance, financial or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated. A well costs between $12,000 and $15,000 on average.

Please consider partnering with us to help the people of Burkina Faso become more empowered.

Milezanay Clean Water Project

Milezanay is a tiny hamlet in Western Eritrea with a population of about 400 people.

Milezanay is a tiny settlement with a population of about 400 people. Located in the Gash Barka Region of Western Eritrea. We are now soliciting cash in the hopes of providing the town with safe drinking water. For many years, the villagers have been drinking and using polluted water in their everyday lives.

They’ve never had access to running water before! We’re asking for your aid in any way you can to bring this community up to human rights standards; their health is in jeopardy since they’re drinking polluted water! We sincerely appreciate your assistance and support in any way you can!

Living Water International

It exists to show God’s love by assisting communities in obtaining much-needed clean water.

Live Water International was founded to show God’s love by assisting communities in obtaining much-needed clean water, as well as to experience “living water”—the gospel of Jesus Christ—which alone quenches the greatest thirst.

Over a billion people worldwide live on less than a dollar each day. At least 844 million people do not have access to clean water.

For all intents and purposes, these figures refer to the same individuals; communities all over the world are locked in crippling poverty as a result of water-related illnesses and parasites, and/or as a result of spending extended periods of time hauling water over large distances.

We build participatory, community-based water solutions in underdeveloped nations in response to this demand.

Ogan School Development Project

Ogan School Development Project has joined with Bridges of Hope. Fola Soboyejo, who has a heart for the children of Ogan, Nigeria, started the Ogan School Development Project as a dream.

Ogan Elementary School is located in a rural agricultural hamlet in southwest Nigeria’s Ogun State. The school had six sixty-year-old clay-built classrooms, leaving the 200 students crammed into two. Instead of providing computers, the school requested assistance in repairing the damaged classrooms. We chose to take on this project since there was such a tremendous demand.

We are in the home stretch thanks to wonderful donors, and with your help, we hope to make this dream a reality. As the Lord leads and provides, we will move on to the next phase of the project after the structures are completed.

Hope For Eternity Ministry

Malnourished refugee orphans at Uganda’s Kyaka II camp require assistance.

The HEM Refugee Total Orphan fund-raising project seeks to assist orphan children aged five and under whose mothers have died or have been forced to abandon them. Things have gotten much worse with Covid 19. Because of the lockdown in Uganda, many of the youngsters are famished and in need of medical attention. Your gift will help a refugee orphan meet those necessities, as well as providing housing with a caretaker, clothes, and footwear.

If you make a regular monthly donation of $100 or more, we want to invite you to come live via Zoom to Uganda on a quarterly basis to see and speak with the HEM people who are caring for these orphans at the Kyaka II settlement. You’ll be able to see and hear firsthand what your donor’s money is helping to achieve. We will also respond to any inquiries you may have. We can only offer this for a small number of contributors and for a short time. This will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so please donate as soon as possible.

Friends, please take advantage of this chance to donate whatever you can. We’ll give you quarterly updates through email, complete with photos, so you can see the wonderful work your funds are supporting. If you donate $25 or more, you will also receive a tax receipt if you are from Canada or the United States. Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness!

FreshLife Lethbridge

Fresh Life Lethbridge was founded in 2015 when a group of friends visiting Fresh Life Kalispell noticed how many residents from Lethbridge were enjoying the services and going down to Montana on a regular basis. It all began with a small group of less than 20 individuals gathering to worship and listen to Pastor Levi’s preaching. We’ve been working with Bridges of Hope since the beginning! Our new office is situated at 327 10 Street South in Lethbridge, Alberta. Long before we even realised what God’s purpose for Fresh Life Lethbridge was, He began working with and through us, and we can’t wait to continue His work and calling for this Church.

VISION: Our mission is to see people who are enslaved by sin discover life and freedom in Jesus Christ. More information is available at www.freshlifechurch.ca or by contacting 403 892 7521.

Working with Clinica Corpus Christi, a tiny hospital and orphanage in Patzun, Guatemala, on a mission.

We’d like to ask you to donate generously to help our team and others in Guatemala who are living in great poverty. We will be able to acquire sterile materials, drugs, bandages, and other devices with the monies generated, allowing us to execute our job effectively.

This year, we’ll also be raising money to pay the expenses of water filters and stoves, allowing many families to modify their lives and reduce their health risks. There are currently large waiting lists of patients who want our assistance, and we are anxious to get there and assist them. Please join us in bringing health to Guatemala’s underprivileged!

Coop’s Chicken Challenge

Cooper has been working hard to earn money so that he may assist with the purchase of poultry for Tanzanian people.

He wants to challenge all of his friends and other kids to go out and make a difference by buying a couple of chickens! Cooper’s objective is to raise enough chickens to feed 100 people.

Linda Davies, my grandmother, will be in Tanzania and will personally capture and deliver these chickens (which she despises) to all of the households. Chickens are not only a good source of nutrients, but their eggs are also the most protein-rich. Aside from the nutritional benefits, keeping and selling chickens and eggs may help these households make money.

Karpos International Ministries

Our mission is to assist Costa Rican women in achieving social mobility in order to improve their health and self-sufficiency.

Suenos a Cumplir assists women in achieving social mobility, resulting in improved health and self-sufficiency, allowing them to care for themselves, their children, and their extended relatives. We want to see each of these ladies grow into the best version of herself, most fully constituted in God’s image.

We utilise sewing to bring the women together and give them the skills they need to one day establish their own small company and, by God’s grace, become self-sufficient.

W4L Microloans

Microloans give hungry and disadvantaged people hope.

Microloans are modest loans granted to individuals and organisations in order to help them establish and expand their businesses. These loans give hungry and vulnerable individuals hope. The majority of microloans are given to women in a co-op and can lift a family out of poverty in one to two generations. Microloans are given to those living on less than $1 per day in 88 percent of cases.

Right now, we know how to have a significant influence on people’s lives. We believe in a future where everyone has a job or is able to expand their business, and we will continue to fight until that day arrives. The only long-term approach to poverty alleviation and community empowerment is business.
Opportunities are not universal, but dreams are. You may assist individuals all around the globe in achieving their goals for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Did you know that every individual who obtains a microloan has a beneficial influence on another 15 people?
Individual start-up: $60.00
Cooperative of six people: $360
Cooperative support for one year: $1080
Complete Microloan sponsorship with interest providing a lifetime child sponsorship: $3000

Moringa Tree Zambia

We’ll distribute seedlings and tell households about moringa’s nutritional advantages.
Malnutrition has hindered the growth of 40% of Zambian youngsters. Through the growth of the Moringa Tree, the Moringa Tree Project is attempting to alter that. The project’s first phase aims to reach out to 50 homes. We propose to offer each home 5 plants per family member, based on the average number of persons per family. So Phase One will consist of 1250 trees at a cost of $5.75 each.
We’ll distribute seedlings and tell households about moringa’s nutritional advantages. Will you join us in Zambia as we seek to alleviate malnutrition via Moringa Tree cultivation?

QAN Network

We at QAN Network are dedicated to enhancing the dignity and meaning of every individual we meet.

This is accomplished through programmes such as leadership development, mentorship, personal development, and youth camps, among others.

For us, commitment entails connecting the appropriate individuals in order to assist those who are in need. Quebec, Africa, and Nunavik are three of our favourite places to work. Connecting is effective. Will you join us in keeping the good times rolling?

Projects at QAN:

  • Camp sponsorships and outreach to Inuit youngsters.

We continue to reach out to Inuit adolescents, who are among the highest in Canada, living without dads, struggling with shame from sexual abuse, and attempting or succeeding in suicide.

  • Economic growth in Burkina Faso through microbusiness, where we uncover natural entrepreneurs who are currently volunteering to help children and youth. We have decided to sponsor a new rental business in the coming year, aiding a local entrepreneur in building his rental inventory, allowing him to provide for his family and fund his ministry calling to Burkina Faso’s children.

Willing Servant Ministries

In the Dominican Republic, many individuals cannot afford medical treatment or medicine.
The goal of this initiative is to spread the gospel in the Dominican Republic and to help those who are already ministering as church leaders, pastors, and missionaries. WSM has a medical clinic to assist the medical needs of the people in the region, in addition to creating connections that open the door to talking about Jesus.
We wish to make a difference in the lives of people who live in poverty on a daily basis. Would you consider partnering with us by contributing financially to help us accomplish our goal?

Daniel Zopoula’s Supported Youth Projects

Youth One

People, initiatives, and activities to assist youngsters in achieving their full potential.

Youth One has evolved into a community that provides support, resources, and activities all in one place to give young people the best chance in life. We believe that by using the power we have been given, we can help to develop our young people, who will then affect their communities and the globe. Thank you very much for your kind contribution!

W4L Food for Children

Burkina Faso meals for orphaned and hungry children.

Families struggle to feed themselves on a daily basis, and many go without eating at all. Malnutrition is responsible for one-third of all child fatalities in underdeveloped nations.

When a child receives one meal every day, he or she is able to attend school and learn what they need to know in order to break the cycle and help their family. In Burkina Faso, Bridges of Hope prepares meals for orphaned and hungry children.

In Burkina Faso, one child may be fed for 27 cents each day.

We can feed 100 children for $27. In the next months, Bridges of Hope hopes to feed 1.5 million people.

Malnutrition affects one out of every four children in Burkina Faso, West Africa. The Centre for Rehabilitation, Teaching, and Nutrition (CREN) at Bridges of Hope provides proper treatment and follow-up for suffering children, as well as vital education for mothers about malnutrition and other prevalent ailments.

A critically malnourished youngster can be treated and saved for $50.

Kids Speak Out

Kids Speak Out is a Bridges of Hope programme that emphasises the importance of children’s voices.

The gathered stories are then published. This allows the storyteller to heal, as well as others who read the stories to realize that they are not alone. Stories provide context and insight into difficult challenges that we face in society today. Join us in telling our storey! Every person’s voice has a right to be heard!

Any money donated to Kids Speak Out goes straight to collecting and sharing stories. Thank you for bringing the voices of the voiceless to the forefront; you make a difference!

One Hope Youth Outreach

OHYO is a place where you can learn, grow, and have fun while doing so. Through bible studies, school groups, and huge events, connect with other young people in Brooks and the surrounding region.

Youth Engagement with a Purpose OHYO is more than a youth organisation. It’s a place where kids can learn, grow, and have fun all at the same time. Through large yearly events like Backyard Bash and Drenched, it provides a chance to engage with other youngsters in Brooks, AB and the surrounding region. It also allows adolescents to be a member of a close-knit little group in which they are challenged to develop character and discover who they are. Your support for OHYO is extremely valuable and life-changing!
